Visit to the school!
We came to know from Dil and Bhopal that the school in their village was damaged and that it was not safe for the children. They had made a tarpaulin shed for the children as a make shift class room. Our primary mission was to build 3 to 4 classrooms that were good enough to endure the monsoon. We took 15 dozens of tin sheets to make 4 classrooms with bamboos and tarpaulins for support.
We also wanted to surprise the children, so we took plenty of sweets, fruit juices, coloring books, crayons and coloring pencils. We also took some footballs, volleyballs and badmintons.
To our astonishment, we came to know that the children in the school had never seen crayons, or coloring pencils and had never tried coloring. Therefore it got more interesting, so we decided to hold a coloring competition. On each bench there would be a winner and the winner would get a coloring book, a box of crayons and a box of color pencils.
The children amazed us with their talent. We all had a great time- the children getting to color for the first time, sweets and toys, and us of course getting the opportunity to see the children so happy.
Thank you all for your generosity and support. The people of Wapsa are sending you love and Gratitude!
