Hiking in the Himalayas had been my dream. I contacted Saran at Hi On Life at short notice and he was very realistic with the time and experience I had and even tailor-made my itinarary – a real help to any traveler in a market where far too many promises are made.
The Mardi Himal base camp trip was an unforgettable trail through lush forests and mountains, whilst staying at rustic guest houses, culminating in an atmospheric nights in a tent at Mardi Himal base camp. It was truly an authentic experience! The scenery was out of this world and Macchapuchare has since become a mountain close to my heart.
My trip would not have been the same without Saran as my trekking guide and the fantastic porters. Saran’s knowledge about mountaineering, the local culture and nature along the trail, and the way he and the team respectfully connected with me and local people was a real bonus. For me it is really important to know that porters/staff are treated well. The entire team, no matter the role, are fully trained and well looked after. It was wonderful to see everyone work together like a family. I was in good hands and could completely relax and enjoy the mountain scenery and local culture.
